The battle concludes…

Yes, I’ve finally done it (at last!) I would call this a labour of love – I don’t know what would be a better description! The battle scene is complete, but only for the time being. I’ll have to review this in-depth during the second draft. By then, I should have some even better ideas or innovations to add more realism to the plot. In the mean time, it’s on to next part of the novel. On this occasion, it’ll be something different – which means I should be able to diversify the discussion here in the blog, thus making it a little less boring for you the reader (I hope!)

One thing I will mention is that at the conclusion of this chapter, I have introduced a major protagonist to the story. I must say that it was a real pleasure being able to describe and set the scene for the entry of this character, as his presence is pretty crucial at this point in relation to the setting up of the plot. In light of this, it feels like a major milestone has been reached, and I think I can afford a small amount of self-congratulation to myself for having achieved it. Not that I want to rest on my laurels, of course.

Henceforth – ever onward…..!
