Two of my main characters reminisced about the past in the section I was working on this evening. They say that the past is a different country. Projecting myself into the future scenario I have created here, it’s interesting to write about things which are familiar in the present and look at them from the perspective of now being lost in the sands of time. We should value what we have now and those we hold dear, because things change, sometimes for the better, sometimes not. Memories can be painful as well as pleasant. Those related by the main characters here are both within these categories.

Until the next time….

About Owen Law

My pen-name is ‘Owen Law’ (real name: Nicholas Davies.) I’m a science fiction writer specialising in dystopian/apocalyptic visions of the future. I’m from Shropshire, England (on the borders with Wales) and I’m in my forties. I have a background in public services and training. I’ve been working on my first novel, Dragon Line, since 2008. I’ve also written several short stories, one of which you can find on this blog (‘Matilda Leviathan‘). I now reside on the border of Shropshire and Wales, and my interests include writing (of course!), current affairs and environmental issues.
