Alright , alright – I know it’s yet another character feature! I’m still hoping to get round to some out-takes at some point, but at the moment my writing time is still being taken up with completing the first draft of the novel. Once that’s done, I’ll have a little more time to devote to that side! I hope it’ll be worth the wait!

First, let me introduce you to Bedwyr, one of the senior officers in the Dragon militia and very much seen as Iolo’s right hand men. Highly dependable, resilient and trustworthy, Bedwyr is a good soldier who has learnt a lot of skills from Llew and is well respected by those he leads. He strikes up a good rapport with Patrick on the latter’s first arrival in Llanberis. Very soon, Bedwyr is sticking up for Patrick during his early problems and trials in Dragon territory (especially where Iolo is concerned!). Later on, he provides valuable and extensive assistance. A native Welsh speaker, physically fit, highly intelligent and resourceful, Bedwyr provides an invaluable source of support during the challenges Patrick faces on his adventures.

Again, I’d be interested to know what you think of these characters. Would you like me to put some more detail in, or are these snapshots of information good enough? Any feedback would be well received!

Until the next time…..

About Owen Law

My pen-name is ‘Owen Law’ (real name: Nicholas Davies.) I’m a science fiction writer specialising in dystopian/apocalyptic visions of the future. I’m from Shropshire, England (on the borders with Wales) and I’m in my forties. I have a background in public services and training. I’ve been working on my first novel, Dragon Line, since 2008. I’ve also written several short stories, one of which you can find on this blog (‘Matilda Leviathan‘). I now reside on the border of Shropshire and Wales, and my interests include writing (of course!), current affairs and environmental issues.
