Owen's Novel Report – Completed First Draft!

Yes, I know I'm a little late! No post last week, no information on my activity, no updates. Bad, isn't it? But, in my defence, I have been working away at the novel and…I'VE FINISHED THE FIRST DRAFT! At last! After 13 (?) months, I've managed to complete it all. Having said that, it is 300,000 words, so its certainly an epic novel. Not that I think that's problem, after all its one of those books where I suppose that there's a lot going on!

So, where to from now on? Well, there's the second and possibly third drafts. These may not take so long, as I anticipate it mainly to be editing with a few re-writes in places. Maybe I'll manage to get some of that word count down!

Anyhow, what I do hope is to have the novel in a publishable form by the end of the year. Not only that, I hope that there'll be some more interesting things going on here. Look out for one or two out-takes, stuff that didn't make it into the book or stories related to it. Also, there'll be some more features on the locations in the novel. Watch this space!

Until the next post….
