Owen’s Novel Report – Second Draft

At last, I can announce that I’ve completed the second
draft! Yet another milestone reached in the creation of this novel. I'm quite glad really, seeing as I'm still suffering from this illness. I've managed to fit it into my spare time – now that's motivational planning for you (with thanks to Jurgen Wolff!) So what now?

Well, it may be time to think about sending some on-spec letters
and sample chapters to publishers, though I have one or two things I need to
sort first. In the meantime, I’ll keep adding to the Authonomy site. I’ll also
look to maybe make the novel available on the internet as an E-book in due course, maybe in
two parts. A bit of online publishing, if you like!

I’ll also start on the third draft in a week’s time, as I
still probably need to edit some stuff out. Hopefully, the timescale should be a little
shorter! As for the blog, watch out for that book review and some more location
features within due course!

Until the next post…

About Owen Law

My pen-name is ‘Owen Law’ (real name: Nicholas Davies.) I’m a science fiction writer specialising in dystopian/apocalyptic visions of the future. I’m from Shropshire, England (on the borders with Wales) and I’m in my forties. I have a background in public services and training. I’ve been working on my first novel, Dragon Line, since 2008. I’ve also written several short stories, one of which you can find on this blog (‘Matilda Leviathan‘). I now reside on the border of Shropshire and Wales, and my interests include writing (of course!), current affairs and environmental issues.
