Location Feature: Attingham Park (Part 3)

Welcome to part 3 of the Attingham Park location feature. On this post, I’ve included some footage inside the deer park itself. The prominent hill in the background is that old stalwart for Proud Salopians like myself, the Wrekin. Whenever you see it coming into view, you know that you’re home!

The Wrekin does feature in passing in the book (I’m sure I put a reference to it later on?!) However, the deer park that you can see in front of you is certainly included (albeit at night-time). The herd based here are actually Fallow and you can just about make out something of them in the background! The footage was shot in early October, just when the rut was starting.

Again, this part of the estate is accessible to the paying public. There are some good circular walks round the park for all abilities. Again, well worth a visit!

Until the next post…
