A quick article recommendation in this post. This article by Peter Goodchild looks a the possible effects of Peak Oil on population control and suggests that we may end up going back to a subsistance life-style (those of us that survive, of course!) It has some echoes of the ‘Dragon Line’ scenario, but appears even more negative than my book. Obviously, from a few of the comments, not everybody agrees with him. Remember, there is always hope in every negative situation!
